Check-In
Parent consent forms, insurance, and health history are collected before the visit. Each student also fills out a short My Bright Future card, sharing their interests, strengths, favorite subjects, and one goal they're working toward.

A school dental program that cares for kids' teeth, and for their futures.
We bring free preventive dental care into Sparta schools, paired with a few minutes of real encouragement for every student we see.
why we do this
At Bright Smiles of Sparta, we believe a healthy smile can open doors to a brighter future.
Our mission is to provide high-quality preventive dental care while inspiring students to dream big, believe in themselves, and build healthy habits that last a lifetime.
By combining preventive dental care, meaningful conversations, positive mentorship, and recognition through the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Award, we want to create an experience that does more than improve oral health. We want to inspire confidence, encourage ambition, and remind every student that their future is full of possibilities.
step by step
Parent consent forms, insurance, and health history are collected before the visit. Each student also fills out a short My Bright Future card, sharing their interests, strengths, favorite subjects, and one goal they're working toward.
A licensed dental hygienist performs a professional cleaning, an oral health screening, personalized brushing and flossing instruction, and fluoride treatment when authorized.
While the cleaning happens, we talk with each student about what they shared on their card, their dreams, what they enjoy, and the goals they've set. It's a short, encouraging conversation, not a counseling session, meant to remind every student that someone believes in them.
Every student leaves with encouragement based on their conversation, age-appropriate oral health education, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss to take home, and information for parents about any findings or recommended follow-up care.
Each month, one student is selected for the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Award and a $200 scholarship prize, recognizing positive oral hygiene habits, personal responsibility, and meaningful improvement. Every student has a real shot at earning it.
every student
leaves smiling
the heart of it
Every child deserves access to preventive dental care, and an adult who takes a few moments to encourage their goals and potential.
Before each visit, students fill out a short My Bright Future card: a few simple questions about what they're good at, what they enjoy, and where they see themselves going. It's not a form. It's an invitation for us to see the whole student, not just their smile.

$200
Each month, one student is chosen to receive the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Award, along with a $200 scholarship prize.
Winners are chosen by program staff and each school's front office, based on positive oral hygiene habits, personal responsibility, and meaningful improvement over time. Every student who completes a visit is automatically eligible.
The monthly $200 award is currently funded by our founding sponsor, True Therapy, with additional support from Bright Smiles of Sparta LLC. Interested in sponsoring a future month? See our Partners section.
for grown-ups
Sign-up happens through a short online form sent home in the school newsletter, plus a paper option available at the front office. Consent forms cover the cleaning, screening, fluoride treatment, and photo release for the monthly award.
This program is currently offered at no cost to families. We accept Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids, and most major insurance plans, and no child is turned away for inability to pay.
for educators
Bright Smiles of Sparta partners with elementary and middle schools to provide preventive dental care on-site, at no disruption to your school day.
A private or semi-private space for visits (a nurse's office or empty classroom works), a list of interested families, and a point of contact to help distribute consent forms.
Healthier, more confident students, fewer missed school days from dental pain, and a program your families will thank you for.
Email us at hello@brightsmilesofsparta.org or call (706) 555-0148 to schedule a visit.
sponsors welcome
Bright Smiles of Sparta is looking for partners who care about kids' health and futures as much as we do. We're especially drawn to natural, wellness-minded brands who want their name behind something real, but we welcome any partner who shares our mission.
Fund a monthly Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Award, sponsor toothbrush and floss kits for a semester, cover the cost of bringing the program to a new school, or provide in-kind donations of dental hygiene products.
Logo placement on the website and printed materials, recognition in the monthly award announcement, and a program impact report each semester showing students served, schools reached, and follow-up care provided.

who's behind it
Bright Smiles of Sparta was founded by Kydric Smith, doctoral candidate and licensed dental hygienist, who grew up in Hancock County and saw firsthand how often kids in his community went without basic preventive dental care. After years of practicing, he set out to bring that care directly into schools, along with a reminder to every student that their future matters just as much as their smile.
